Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do you specialize in?

My focus is on the histories and culture of Native peoples in North Carolina. It is a common misconception that all native people are experts on every tribe, however, this is not the case. My scope is specific to tribes and communities in NC.

What do your programs look like?

I utilize a varitey of skills to educate others of NC Indigenous peoples. Each program is specific to the event and the audience. Some are more performative and includes dancing, music, and stroytelling. While some are more academic and include lectures and discussions.

Do you charge, if so how much?

Yes, there is a fee acossiated with my prgrams. Because each one is different and includes different skills there is not one price I can give. For a specific quote, please contact me directly.

Are you a real Indian?

Yes, I have been asked this many times throughout my life. I am an enrolled member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina. We are the largest tribe east of the Mississippi and have lived in NC for at least 12,000 years.
